ONE STEP AT A TIME

We all need to get inspired in one way or the other and sometimes our only inspiration is “US”. We need to cheer ourselves just by ourselves. Some times we feel we have lost all hope when we give our dreams a trial but we give up so easily when it doesn’t work out fine. This doesn’t have to be so because everyone has a different success story and it didn’t happen over night. Miss Akor Janet Ogbene is an example of people that have thrived so far with or without little cheer from her little beginning.

M.s Janet, in an interview with Sandymusings, gave little illustration on how she got this far.

Interview with Miss Federal republic of Nigeria

Sandymusings: What are your full names?

M.s Akor Janet: Akor Janet Ogbene

Sandymusings: I understand that you have great passion for plethora of things like modeling, pageantry, comedy, dancing, inspiring others and this has kept you going and making great waves. Can you share your story on how all these began?

M.s Akor Janet: Well, I would say this is something I had passion for right before I got into my teenage years but my parents had seen it as a waste of time but this journey officially started in my second year in the university. My closest female friend gave me the push to do it and prove my parent wrong about their impression. After several time of talking to me, I decided to give it a try and the experience has been great so far even though it has its own challenges.

Sandymusings: Indeed it must have been so challenging to convince them. That was a great step you took. I understand that you have so much flair for pageantry and this has been a smooth ride right from the time you won Miss BSU to the point to which you’re still wearing the crown for QUEEN OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA . How were you able to archive all these on your own Or did you look up to someone for inspiration?

M.s Akor Janet: Well I had people I looked up to. Women that in-spite of their background, they wear able to scale through in life but most importantly, It has been a personal drive.

Sandymusings: When I listened to an information on your biography during the contest for Miss Nysc, State Of Osun, I understood that you have great passion for counseling and you want to take that up as a career. Are you planning to quit modeling and take up counseling for a career choice?

M.s Akor Janet: Well, I wouldn’t say for now but counseling has been a thing from within and if the need comes for me to make a choice I will prefer my counseling goal to the other.

Sandymusings: That’s really interesting to note down. I hope a lot of persons get inspired through you.

M.s Akor Janet: I will say yes especially the young ladies coming up and a lot of older folks when it comes to both my modeling career and counseling.

Sandymusings: What advice would you give to the young ones who are probably facing the same kind of problem that needs to be addressed?

M.s Akor Janet: First of all, life is of many faces and as such, some opportunities don’t repeat itself. It is always good to dream but most importantly dream right and when your dream is right, it’s only a matter of time that the world will know you for you. It takes great courage and determination to get that achieved and as such, no one can kill your dreams except we permit them to.

Sandymusings: Thank you so much miss Janet Akor. On behalf of Sandymusings, I say a big thank you for your time once again.

M.s Akor Janet: You welcome.

Don’t just sleep over your dreams as you stay indoors. Work on that project that you felt it’s impossible to archive. Change the tactics you used in approaching it before and see how lovely you bloom at the end. Thank you so much M.s Akor Janet and thank you all for reading and I hope you got inspired?
